WELCOME TO BRIDGE THE GAP!
The heartbeat of Bridge the Gap is to promote intergenerational relationships in the body of Christ through mentoring. Every believer can mentor and be mentored as the 'older' or 'younger'
to someone else (either in age or in spiritual maturity).

Our core value is KINDNESS. This value permeates everything we do.
Romans 15:14 "My brothers and sisters, I myself am convinced about you that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct (counsel, mentor) one another."

Ellen Castillo — Founder, Bridge the Gap
Ellen Castillo believes some of the most transformative ministry happens simply when an older woman decides to invest in a younger one. It's the heartbeat behind Bridge the Gap: helping women mentor and disciple across generations, in whatever sphere of influence they already have.
Ellen brings over 20 years of experience in counseling, mentoring, and discipleship training across church and parachurch ministries. She's a Certified Biblical Counselor with the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC), a former council member and current partner with the Biblical Counseling Coalition, and holds a clinical background in Occupational Therapy for psychiatric disorders. She has also served as a Women's Ministry Director and as Executive Director of a nonprofit counseling center — experience that shapes how she equips others for real, sustainable one-another ministry. Through Bridge the Gap, Ellen serves as a mentor to mentors—training women to disciple well and equipping them to do so with confidence. This website is a welcoming space where she blogs, hosts a podcast, provides mentoring training and resources, and she leads a supportive Facebook community. Ellen lives in Tomball, Texas, with her husband, Ray, where they love spending time with their children and grandchildren.
