Where do you fit in at Bridge the Gap?
The heartbeat of Bridge the Gap is to promote intergenerational relationships in the body of Christ through mentoring and counseling.
Every believer can mentor and be mentored as the 'older' and/or the 'younger' to someone else (either in age or spiritual maturity).
Our training, blog articles, and community membership are for anyone who wants to be equipped to disciple people deeply in their sphere of influence.

Ellen Castillo, owner of Bridge the Gap, is passionate about intergenerational ministry, the older mentoring the younger in various contexts. Ellen has over 20 years of experience in counseling, mentoring, and discipleship training in church and parachurch settings. She is a Certified Biblical Counselor with the ABC (Association of Biblical Counselors). She is a former council member and current partner with the Biblical Counseling Coalition. She has a clinical background in Occupational Therapy for psychiatric disorders. She also has a background as a Women’s Ministry Director and a nonprofit Counseling Center Executive Director. She enjoys equipping and training men and women for one-another ministry as mentors in their sphere of influence. Bridge the Gap focuses on intergenerational relationships through mentoring. Bridge the Gap offers mentor training and discipleship resources through a membership website for women at www.ellencastillo.com. Membership gives access to Ellen for discounted training and counseling. Membership also provides many digital resources for members to download and use in their discipleship relationships. Also included is a community discussion forum where members will engage in iron-sharpening conversations, share prayer requests, pursue continuing education, and offer encouragement. On the membership site, Ellen is a “mentor to the mentors”. Ellen is married to Ray, and they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren at their home in Tomball, Texas.
