Bridge the Gap exists to bridge the generation gap in the body of Christ through mentoring

The heartbeat of Bridge the Gap is to promote intergenerational relationships in the body of Christ through mentoring. Bridge the Gap’s mentor training and resources help Christians mentor others in day-to-day life and help them navigate the serious struggles people face. Bridge the Gap offers accessible training and resources so that the gospel goes forth and the Word of God is the basis of hope and encouragement. Every believer can become equipped to mentor and be mentored as the 'older' and/or the 'younger' to someone else (either in age or spiritual maturity.)

Bridge the Gap consists of:
Podcasts that feature interviews about intergenerational relationships and various topics that pertain to mentoring. (podcast apps and YouTube). 
Bridge the Gap’s website with a growing array of training materials and resources designed to assist believers in their mentoring relationships. 
Social Media engagement with Bridge the Gap content. (links are on website home page).
Receive Care​ - 1:1 Counseling and Mentoring is available on a limited basis. Mentoring Groups are coming in 2026.

Care and Discipleship Mentor Training

This is Ellen's newest training that will equip individuals and groups (men and women) to serve as Care and Discipleship Mentors in their sphere of influence. This training is currently available for free in the form of downloadable PDF documents, lesson by lesson. You are invited to go through the lessons individually, or gather a group and do the training together. One-Another Care Course for Women

Ellen's mentor training course "One-Another Care" for women has been recently updated, simplified, and made accessible for individuals or groups to learn more about mentoring, discipling, and caring for one-another! All you need to do is purchase workbooks for participants, and complete the lessons on your own or as a group.

Ellen has over 20 years of experience in counseling, mentoring, and discipleship training in church and parachurch settings. She is a Certified Biblical Counselor with the ABC (Association of Biblical Counselors) and a former council member and current partner with the Biblical Counseling Coalition. She has a clinical background in Occupational Therapy for psychiatric disorders. She also has a background as a Women’s Ministry Director and a nonprofit counseling center Executive Director. Ellen is passionate about intergenerational ministry, the older mentoring the younger in various contexts. She enjoys equipping and training men and women for one-another ministry as mentors in their sphere of influence. Ellen owns “Bridge the Gap”, which focuses on intergenerational relationships through mentoring. Bridge the Gap offers mentor training and resources through podcasts, social media, and this website. She is married to Ray, and they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren at their home in Tomball, Texas.
