 Bridge the Gap Seasonal Reset
🍂  Fall 🍂
Fall has a way of waking us up. The air changes, the light shifts, the pace of life tends to pick back up — and suddenly we find ourselves wondering where the year has gone and whether we're living it with intention.

The Fall Reset is an invitation to pause in the midst of all that momentum and ask some honest, fruitful questions: Where am I growing? Where am I weary? What does faithfulness look like for me right now? What do I most want to offer to God and to others in this season?

Fall is a season of harvest — and a season of letting go. Both are gifts. Both require trust. You don't have to do all of this. Simply take what resonates and bring it to God with open hands.

Think of this as a menu, not a mandate.

"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
— Galatians 6:9

How to Use This Reset
Browse each area below and prayerfully choose one or two things that feel like a genuine invitation — not obligation. You might focus on a single area all season, or mix and match week by week. There is no wrong way to do this.

When you're ready, head over to the Seasonal Reset category in our discussion forum to:
  • Share what you're choosing to focus on this season
  • Post updates, reflections, or encouragements along the way
  • Ask questions or invite prayer
  • Celebrate what God is doing in your life and in others'

We'd love to do this together. Your honesty and presence in the forum make this community what it is.

🍂 Spiritual Wellbeing
The biblical theme of harvest isn't just about crops — it's about faithfulness over time. Fall is a beautiful season to reflect on where God has been at work in your life this year and to tend carefully to the soil of your heart for what He wants to grow next.

Drawing Closer to Jesus
  • Do a spiritual "year in review" — journal about where you've seen God's faithfulness from January through now. Name what He has done.
  • Ask God honestly: Is there any area of my life where I've been going through the motions spiritually? What would it look like to return to Him there?
  • Pick a book of the New Testament to read slowly this fall — read for transformation, not information.
  • Begin or renew a practice of evening prayer. Review your day with God before you sleep — what you're grateful for, where you fell short, what you're trusting Him with tomorrow.

Seasonal Scripture Theme: Harvest and Faithfulness
Fall reminds us that what we sow, we reap — and that faithfulness in small things matters deeply. Let these verses anchor your season:

"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."                          — Galatians 6:9
"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."  — 2 Corinthians 9:6
"I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." — John 15:5
"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'"  — Matthew 25:23

Gospel Reminders for Fall
Fruitfulness in your life is not produced by your effort — it grows from your connection to Jesus. Abide first.
You are not behind. God's timing is not your timeline, and He is never wasteful with a willing heart.
The God who brought you through what you've faced this year is the same God who holds the rest of it.

🍂 Mental Wellbeing
Fall often brings a return to busyness — school, schedules, ministry commitments, year-end demands. The mental reset this season is less about adding more and more about evaluating what already has your attention.

Practical Steps
  • Do a calendar audit. What is on your schedule this fall? What is truly important, and what did you agree to out of obligation or fear of missing out?
  • Identify one area where you have been overthinking or worrying. Bring it to God specifically and ask for His peace to guard your mind (Philippians 4:6–7).
  • Build a simple daily rhythm that protects your best mental energy for the things that matter most.
  • Practice gratitude deliberately — a daily list of three specific things rewires the mind toward what is good and true.

Renewing Your Mind
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  — Philippians 4:6–7

Mind Renewal Suggestions: Browse the digital downloads available in your membership, and pick a journal, worksheets, or study that pertains to renewing the mind, the thought life, or anything else that helps youto rest your thought life.

🍂 Emotional Wellbeing
As the year begins to wind down, fall can surface a range of emotions — grief over what hasn't happened, gratitude for what has, and the quiet pressure of endings and beginnings happening all at once. This is a good season to tend to your heart with honesty and gentleness.

Checking In With Your Heart
  • Spend time in honest reflection: What are you most grateful for this year so far? What has disappointed or grieved you?
  • Is there something you've been carrying emotionally that you haven't brought fully to God? A disappointment, a fear, an unmet longing?
  • Where have you seen yourself grow in the past several months? Take time to name and honor that — even small growth is real growth.
  • Download the Heart Diagram and Heart Exam in the digital resource worksheets, and examine your heart.

Boundaries and Letting Go
Fall is also the season of letting go — leaves release so the tree can rest and renew. What might God be inviting you to release this season? A resentment, a striving, an expectation?
  • Write a prayer of release — name what you're letting go of and offer it specifically to God.
  • Review your commitments with honesty. Is there something you've been holding onto out of guilt rather than genuine calling?
"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."     — Psalm 55:22

🍂 Physical Wellbeing
Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons to be outside and to build sustainable rhythms before the winter months arrive. Use it well.

Practical Steps
  • Get outside while the weather is beautiful — walk, hike, or simply sit and observe the season changing around you.
  • Evaluate your sleep schedule as the days get shorter. Use the earlier darkness as permission to wind down sooner.
  • Begin or re-establish one healthy routine before the holidays make consistency harder — it's much easier to maintain a habit than to restart one.
  • Be mindful of how you nourish yourself as the season shifts to comfort foods. Caring for your body is still an act of stewardship in the Fall.
  • Plan one true day of Sabbath rest each week. Guard it before the holiday season begins to crowd it out.

Stewardship of the Body
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."  — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

🍂 Serving and Loving Others
Fall brings natural opportunities for generosity and outreach. As the harvest season, it is a good time to ask: What do I have to give, and who needs it?

Ideas for Fall Service
  • Look for someone in your community who is entering a hard season — an illness, a loss, a transition — and show up for them practically.
  • Invite someone to your table this fall. A meal shared is one of the most simple and powerful ways to love someone well.
  • Look for one way to give generously this season — of your time, resources, or skills.
  • As the holidays approach, think intentionally about who in your world might feel lonely or overlooked. Make a plan to reach out before you get caught in the rush.
"Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."  — Romans 12:13

🍂 Investing in Community
Fall is a natural reset point for relationships and community. Use this season to deepen the connections that matter most.

Steps Toward Deeper Community
  • Reach out to someone you haven't connected with in a while — a mentor, a friend in faith, or someone who has encouraged your walk with God.
  • Consider: Am I giving to this community as well as receiving from it? What does generous participation look like for me right now?
  • Share something real in the forum this fall. Your honest reflection may be exactly what someone else needs to read.
  • Pray for the women in this community by name as you enter the season. Ask God to meet each one exactly where she is.
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."                                    — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

A Word Before You Go
Fall is a season of honest accounting — and of trusting that the God who calls us to faithfulness is also the one who produces the fruit.

You don't have to have it all together. You just have to keep showing up, keep abiding, and keep offering what you have.

God is faithful. Every season, without exception.

We're glad you're here.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
— Numbers 6:24–26
