You don’t have to have all the answers to be a good mentor.
You just have to show up — prepared, present, and willing. That’s what this space is for.
Equip & Go gives you one verse, one question, and one challenge at a time. Nothing overwhelming. Nothing that requires hours of preparation. Just a simple, biblical tool you can pick up before a meeting and carry right into your mentoring relationship.
Because the women God has placed in your life don’t need a perfect mentor. They need a present one.
How Equip & Go Works
Each Equip & Go tip follows the same simple three-part format:
📖 One Verse
A scripture to anchor your mentoring for the week — something to sit with yourself before you bring it into your meeting.
💬 One Conversation Starter
A question designed to open a real conversation. Not surface-level small talk — something that goes a little deeper and invites your mentee to think, reflect, and share honestly.
✅ One Challenge
One small, doable action to try before your next meeting. Not a project. Not a curriculum. Just one intentional step that any mentor can take, in any season, with any mentee.
That’s it. Simple on purpose.
Who This Space Is For
Equip & Go was created for every kind of mentor — the seasoned one and the brand-new one. Whether you’ve been mentoring for twenty years or you just said yes for the first time, there’s something here for you.
This space is especially helpful if you:
• Ever sit down for a meeting and draw a blank on what to talk about
• Want your mentoring conversations to go deeper but aren’t sure how to get there

• Are in a busy season and need something ready to use without a lot of prep time
• Simply want a fresh idea or a new angle on a topic you’ve visited before
You don’t have to use every tip. You don’t have to follow them in order. Browse, find what fits your mentee’s current season, and go.

How to Use Each Equip & Go Tip
Before your meeting:
Read through the tip. Sit with the verse for a few minutes — let it land in you before you bring it to someone else. Jot the conversation starter in your notes so you have it ready.
During your meeting:
Use the conversation starter as a natural entry point — you can introduce it as simply as “I came across this question this week and wanted to bring it to you.” Then listen. Let her lead where the conversation goes.
The challenge:
Some challenges are for you to do before the meeting. Some are for your mentee. Some are for both of you together. Read it and decide what fits. There’s no wrong way to apply it.
Between meetings:
Come back and browse the tips anytime you need a fresh idea. Tips are organized by theme, so if your mentee is walking through a hard season, a transition, or a question about her identity or calling — you’ll find something that speaks directly to where she is.
A Note on the Themes
Tips are grouped into twelve themes that reflect the most common seasons and conversations in biblical mentoring relationships:
Listening Well · Asking Good Questions · Encouragement & Affirmation · Prayer Together · Identity in Christ · Seasons & Transitions · Accountability & Growth · Grief & Hard Seasons · Calling & Purpose · Trust & Faith · Relationships & Community · Rest & Abiding
If a theme speaks to exactly where you or your mentee is right now, you can work through all four tips in that theme back to back. If you prefer variety, simply use tips in random order.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
One of the best parts of Bridge the Gap is that you’re not mentoring in isolation — you’re part of a community of women doing the same thing, learning as they go, and cheering each other on.
After you use an Equip & Go tip in your mentoring relationship, we’d love to hear from you. Did the conversation starter open something unexpected? Did the challenge stretch you in a good way? Did the verse speak to something you hadn’t anticipated?
Share it. Your experience encourages someone else who is still finding her footing.

• Which conversation starter you used and how your mentee responded
• How the challenge went — even if it surprised you
• A verse from a tip that hit differently than you expected
You can also ask questions, swap ideas with other members, or simply say “I tried this and it worked” — because sometimes that’s exactly what another mentor needs to hear.
You just have to show up — prepared, present, and willing. That’s what this space is for.
